A HALOS AND HURRICANES TYPE OF BLUES
WARNING: If you are in opposition to a black woman standing in the full bloom of her power...
If the strength of her triggers your demons...
If you are threatened by the love she has for herself...
If you are policing how she chooses to show up in the world...
If you envy how she melts when another black woman becomes a safe space for her...
If you despise the love that Black women have for each other...
Then this post is not for you. Let me take it a step further because I want to save you some trouble. This entire blog may not be for you. I don't want to bruise your ego or your self-appointed entitlement. I'm only looking out for you. But you are free to stay. Soak up all of this Black Woman Magic. See, I do care about you, but let me be clear. This is a safe space for my beautiful black women who are being seduced by their own power of healing and are willing to share their power with others. So proceed with caution and pure intentions and support. If you violate this warning, then you will have to deal with me and this is something you don't want to do. Now, with that being said....
Welcome To 2026 Baby!!!
To the dope and beautiful souls who have been rocking with me for 17 years, since my "Lyric's Soul" days...
I appreciate you baby. Thank you for the love and support you have given me throughout these years. You have witnessed how vulnerable I was to my nakedness. You saw me heal in real time and you loved me through each layer. I fell in love with you because my monsters found a home in you. A kind of love that owns my skin and bones. A kind of love that allowed me to feel safe enough to marry my halo to my hurricane. Thanks for helping me to heal myself so that I can heal with you. Let's continue to love on each other and surround ourselves with the power that was created in the darkness of our ancestor's wombs. To those of you who are new or haven't "felt" me for awhile, let me re-introduce myself, but in true Courtney fashion. Are you ready to handle business?! Well, class is in session then.
According to the Black Woman's Dictionary Of Courtney CM: A Spiritual Power Shift is an Divine inner transformation where an individual woman moves from a sacrificial savior complexed view to a higher consciousness, letting go of old beliefs, increasing awareness, and aligning with a deeper energy. A recalibration of her entire being. Allowing for more peace, clarity, love, and a movement beyond the physical, penetrating the spiritual and radiating her blessed glory.
This is my assignment. I am here to strengthen your halo while you embrace the destructive winds of your hurricane. I am here to assist you in tapping into ancestral memory that allows your hips to carry church pews and front porches that resurrect secret prayers that were whispered through chains because baby...you are that answered prayer. I am here to be your safe space. I am here to love you in an abundance in hopes that it overflows and join hands with the love you have for yourself. I am here to help you find your voice, but I am also here to pop out and show people how strong my voice is on your behalf. Don't get it twisted. You have your own strength but together we can make the earth climax. Halos and hurricanes baby, halos and hurricanes.
This brings to my mind something a wise man said recently. He said, " The whole armor of God is backless because we are supposed to be covering each other." So, don't worry yourself beautiful. I answered that call a long time ago, along with other women. You have a whole village that is locked and loaded. So trust me, you are covered. We go together like a Bible verse to a hymn. A negro spiritual to the sounds of feet tapping on rotten floor boards. If you grew up in the church, then you know how strong these boards are. So, how 'bout it? Are you willing to do life with me? Do you want to feel the intense orgasm erupting from truth and spirit? I could go on and on, but not right now.
I just wanted to give you a little taste of me. So relax and get comfortable. Allow my words to awaken something in you that you forgot you had or refused to own. And I aim to do this post by post on the blog. Before I go, I want to leave you with a quote that says:
"Dangerous is the woman who can give herself what she used to seek from others. Limitless is the woman who dares to name herself. The way I see it, shame cannot oppress what acceptance has already claimed as sovereignty."
-Tarana Burke
Society views this type of woman as dangerous, but God views this type of woman as chosen. I love you. Talk to you in the next post!
Love and light,
Courtney CM
